I was injured in 2010 by taking Ambien as prescribed for five days. Five years later I began to share my healing journey from the subsequent misdiagnoses and medical injuries on my Benzo Brains YouTube channel. Since that time I have co-founded the Benzodiazepine Information Coalition, The Council for Sustainable Healing, and have served as an advisor to The Alliance for Benzodiazepine Best Practices. My memoir Seeds of Hope: A Journey Through Medication and Madness Toward Meaning was published in 2020 by Moonglade Press along with various blogs published by Kelly Brogan, Mad in America, and the LDS Women Project. In 2021 I started a second blog and YouTube channel both called Teachings of Jesus Christ where I focus on the spiritual aspects of healing and wholeness.
